Cars: Everybody Needs One
According to Quora, as of 2016, there are 834 cars per 1,000 people in the U.S. Also, the average household in America has at least two vehicles per household. As people work and travel further from home, walking and cycling have decreased. Public transportation is readily available in larger cities but scarce in medium to smaller cities. With such a wide variety of options in automobiles, the biggest question is which car is right for you.
Cars: What To Consider
First, you will want to look at your budget. Pricing on cars are all over the board. If you need a dependable, low-priced vehicle, you may want to start off looking at used cars. Many times we can look at family members or friends to find a quality used car, but there are also many used car lots. With a used car, you may want to consider a “Certified Pre-Owned” car. According to a Consumer Reports recent review, “CPO vehicles are often cherry-picked, have lower miles, and are cleaner vehicles with a clean history,” says Anil Goyal, senior vice president for Black Book, an auto-industry data aggregator. “They’re also protected against defects and expensive repairs by an extended manufacturer’s warranty.” CPO cars may also pass a multipoint inspection to check for systems or components that may be in need of repair.
Other things to consider are gas mileage, economy, size, style, brands, and lifestyle. Whether you want a sports car, SUV, or MiniVan, there are lots of options available. With so many options, it’s good to do your research and know what you want. Once you have a pretty good idea of the style, size, and features of the car, it’s good to visit some dealerships to see what options are available, along with pricing. Many times you can even find a brand new car that has been on the lot for several months, which in turn, caused the dealership to add incentives to get it off the lot.
